Throughout his lifetime, Jay believed deeply in the power of kindness, optimism and community. He was a transformational leader for Greater Des Moines and continuously shaped the future through his bold ideas and strategic vision. His positive impact will be seen and felt by many for decades to come through the numerous people, projects, events and ideas he believed in and supported.

As President of Simpson College and past President and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Jay was truly a dedicated champion for the region and the people that call Greater Des Moines home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Jay Byers Memorial Fund, which will be used by the family to support the causes Jay loved.
