Stories from the 2022 Celebration Luncheon

Local artist and founder of the B. Well Foundation Billy Weathers performed a poignant piece he created specifically for the Celebration Luncheon titled Plenty of Tomorrows. As Billy shares in his piece, “Bring all your tools to the table, and think what you have to borrow. We aren’t saying we will heal all, or that there won’t be sorrow. Rather, whatever we can’t get done today let’s continue tomorrow.” We look forward with great hope and excitement to the tomorrows yet to come in our community thanks to your partnership.

At the Community Foundation, connection is core to all we do. We connect donors with causes they care about. We connect nonprofits with opportunities to learn from one another and experts in the field. We connect those with charitable interests to tax-wise giving solutions to meet their financial and charitable goals. We believe these are connections that count. This is a belief shared by Diane and Roger Munns who shared how they give of both their time, through volunteerism at the FreeStore, and treasure through a charitable giving fund at the Community Foundation.

Better together is more than a tagline, it is a steadfast belief that all of us are better than one of us. Collaboration provides an opportunity to be nimble in times of challenge or opportunity. Challenges like those faced by the refugee communities who are seeking to make a new home in the heartland.

The Community Foundation stands ready to serve and lead, and we are thrilled to be able to soon provide the physical space for connections and collaborations to take place as we build community, together through the Community Foundation Campus and C3 Center.
