Have you wondered what the designation CAP® means? It stands for Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP). It’s a designation from the American College of Financial Services which provides expertise to guide charitable individuals and organizations in strategic philanthropic planning from the American College of Financial Services. The CAP® designation integrates concepts from estate planning, accounting, financial services and nonprofit engagement to promote a comprehensive approach to charitable giving.
Our board has placed a priority on staff obtaining this further education, as it provides our team with the tools and expertise to walk families, professional advisors and nonprofit organizations through charitable conversations. Six members of our staff have currently obtained the designation.
While we are proud of our staff’s commitment to continuing education, what is most important is the expertise they have developed through their training to meet your giving goals. Charitable giving is often more than writing a check. Many factors play into your giving – tax strategies, family dynamics, estate planning – it’s complex. Our goal is to maximize the impact of your giving and make our community a better place to live.
We are here to provide personalized approaches to giving including:
- Discussing charitable tax strategies and techniques, such as bunching or suggesting assets to use to best meet your financial and giving goals.
- Developing and monitoring charitable strategies for you and future generations.
- Working alongside you as you reach milestone moments such as exiting a business, welcoming a new member to your family or determining how to give back beyond your lifetime.
If any of these scenarios resonate with you, our team of Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy are here to help!
