Therapeutic Communities - Drastically Changing Criminal Justice. Harvest Academy, a therapeutic community, opened in 2020 in Des Moines, already reaching capacity of 12, bringing whole person change to men that want to do 2+ years of hard work to transform from a life of drugs, criminality, and homelessness to one of purpose, integrity, and employment. Harvest Academy is 100% operationally self-sufficient, paying 100% of program costs through the operation of its vocational school, Harvest Academy Movers. We need your help in building our new mixed-use community on 18 acres south of the airport allowing Harvest Academy to help transform 80+ lives and become a training center for more staff to start additional Therapeutic Communities in Iowa and elsewhere.
