The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CF Foundation) is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care.

In Iowa, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation plays a vital role in ensuring those living with CF receive the highest quality care. We proudly fund the Pediatric and Adult cystic fibrosis care centers at Blank Children’s Hospital and the University of Iowa, providing critical resources to patients and families. We are driving progress nationwide, funding 80 cutting-edge research centers across the country—including right here at the University of Iowa—where groundbreaking discoveries are shaping the future of CF treatment and bringing us closer to a cure.
