North Side Library Rosies Park Carousel

Project Description

As the North Side Library building approaches its 40th anniversary (December 2024), it is important that we continue to invest in the building as an asset to the neighborhood and as a community gathering space. The children's area is heavily used by families who visit to select books, play with educational toys, and spend time together in a free, low-stress, supportive literacy environment. North Side Library serves the proud Parks area of Highland Park, Oak Park, and Union Park, so the children's area is designated as "Rosie's Park." We will commemorate this designation with artwork that transforms a column with shelves into a moving Carousel fixture.
