Support Public School Students in Des Moines

Talent is distributed evenly, opportunity is not. By Degrees Foundation partners with public schools on Des Moines' north side to ensure more students have access to the resources and opportunities necessary to graduate from high school and pursue postsecondary education. Our partnership model meets schools and students' foundational needs while facilitating a culture of college, career, and community from kindergarten through high school graduation. We incorporate annual grade level college visits, career experiences, true 529 college savings accounts, and community involvement to help students prepare and plan for the future. We are intentionally integrated into our partner schools and work closely with school administration and district staff to ensure all students in our schools receive supports, not just those in particular programs or on particular pathways. We are working toward a future where all students have access to quality education and opportunity, regardless of their zip code.
