2025 Latina Leadership Initiative: HERBIZ-Helping Entrepreneurs Rise, Building Innovative Zeal Program

Project Description

In this new entrepreneurship HERBIZ pilot program, participants will engage in an 40-hour intensive curriculum. Applicants may include individuals in the current leadership program cohort, Latina Leadership Initiative Alumni, and individuals in the community who recently began their business or are on the onset of beginning their business. This expanded program builds upon the foundational sessions mentioned above, enhancing their depth and breadth in entrepreneurship.

The tuition for participants in this workshop is $500. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a refund of their tuition and a scholarship for their business plan implementations created while in the program. At the conclusion of the event, participants can receive up to a total of $2,000 to apply toward their businesses.

In addition to the financial support, participants will also leave with a comprehensive set of tools and resources to aid in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Furthermore, participants will have a well-developed business plan, outlining their business strategy and goals.

Beyond these tangible assets, participants will gain valuable connections and expand their business network, providing them with essential contacts and opportunities for collaboration and support. Finally, they will benefit from ongoing mentorship, receiving guidance and advice from experienced professionals to help navigate the challenges of starting and growing their businesses.
