Gray's Lake Playground & Sprayground

Project Description

The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines is assisting with connecting local partners to support the installation of a new playground and sprayground at Gray’s Lake Park. The City of Des Moines has invested deeply in improvements in recent years, which has helped to grow the uses of this landmark park to over 1 million every year and earned it a coveted Great Places in America designation. The focus is now on bringing to life the new playground and sprayground, which is one of the primary recommendations of the comprehensive Gray’s Lake Park Master Plan Update. A generous donation is funding the conceptual design and inclusive public input. We seek to raise the remaining funding to construct a destination playground and sprayground that complements the natural beauty of Gray’s Lake Park. These new features will continue welcoming and serving all ages, abilities and backgrounds to the park and provide memorable experiences to be enjoyed for years to come.
