Project Description
Every day of the year, IRIS volunteers read Iowa newspapers aloud over a custom radio network. Our 24/7 signal reaches over 11,000 print-disabled listeners on our radios, internet and podcast network. We are a very small organization with only one full-time employee. Ongoing expenses to serve our listeners include staff, rent, technology and the purchase of custom radios and Echo Dot devices. We provide all equipment and services to our listeners at no cost to them.
